Spring is here - - Or is it?

Spring is sprung,
The grass is ris,
I wonder where the boidies is.
They say the boid is on the wing,
But that's absurd the wind is on the bird!

This is a poem that my dad would recite to us. Of course we thought it ridiculous as the words sounded funny and the logic was a bit off. And yet here I am sharing it with you!!!

Funny how some things just stick.

And as for Spring - well it isn't here this week!!

Last week was the first ever Supper-time Challenge. And it was a fun 4 nights of cooking suppers that had never been tried before.

This is what we had - 
  • Baked Apricot Chicken 
  • Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Thai Green Curry Sauce
  • Basil Fish & Cauliflower Medley
  • Beef & Beer Stew
All of them were quick to make and not difficult to follow.

What do you do to stay in balance?
This is a biggie because as moms we feel guilty about taking time away from specifically our children.

Ask me!
I should go to gym more regularly but I feel so guilty about taking that time for me.
And yet when I do go to gym I walk about feeling happier, stronger and go home feeling more patient and less matyr-ish!

So if we want to be the best mom for our kids then we need to start taking care of ourselves....

What are 2 things that you can do to take care of yourself?
  1. For me it is arranging to have lunch with a friend or
  2. An evening time soak in the bath with essential oils with lavender, geranium and frankincense.
