The Best Thing to Do Every Morning to Get Things Done

2/8/2018

Have you noticed that it is getting lighter a bit earlier in the morning?
The sun is setting a little later?

It was birthday celebrations in our house this past week. Both my husband and I have birthdays in the same week!!!
And my mum has been visiting from the UK.
Every morning my boys check with me that Granny is still sleeping upstairs!

3 simple steps to live your purpose

Do you feel tired and sleepy when you get up in the morning?

It could be because your mind is overwhelmed with all of the day’s work and home-related pressure and stress.

We face a lot of stress in our daily routine i.e.
  • stressful job,
  • living in a crime ridden society,
  • a messy home life,
  • kids crying for every little thing,
  • and poor eating habits that are bad for your health.

Some of us cope with these problems by drinking and smoking. Of course that isn't the best for your health.
If you don’t know how to manage a stressful life there are three simple steps to live your purpose and life without stress.

Let me show you how these simple steps can help you to live your life in a more manageable way for a balanced and healthy life....

1. One thing at a time:

A balanced and stress-free life is a dream of everyone.

But your life will never be stress-free if you try to tackle too many things at one time.

The easiest way to start decreasing your stress is to focus on the most important task and get it done.

Be like a man and focus on only the task at hand!

For example, If you need to write a report at work or do homework with the kids
~ make sure you distance yourself from mobile phones and other email notifications...

...so that  you can focus on writing or being present in homework.

You will finish either more quickly!

Build up a healthy habit of reading before bed to help relax your mind and release troubles for a healthy sleep and a fresh mind and mood in the morning.

2. Set your objectives:

Make a list of your goals and focus on those that lead you to a balanced and stress-free life.

Your goals must be written in the SMART layout:
  • specific,
  • measurable,
  • attainable,
  • related, and
  • time-bound.

Aim to look at your handwritten goals at least once in a day to remind and motivate you to go for them.

This is a toughie for us moms -learn to say “No”
to plans that are not a priority on your goal list and that will likely put you under stress and pressure.

3. Outline the journey, bit by bit:

Life is unpredictable so of course your journey to your goal is not going to be a straight line!!!

It would be too easy if it was like that.

The point of a goal is for the lessons you learn along the way that make you a wiser, stronger woman.

But we need encouragement along the way so do something that makes  you feel good about you.

Whenever you feel down or stressed out, try to do something creative that makes you feel better about yourself.
  • A friend of mine loves painting another does crocheting.
  • And have you tried baking?
The science of measuring and being precise is just the loveliest feeling and the end product is so tasty and satisfying.

Take time for you so that your life moves from stressed to zen -
  • take a nap,
  • read a book,
  • take a bath,
  • or go for a walk to feel more refreshed.

You're going to start thinking of me as the Sleep Nazi (I am obsessed with sleep) but the thing is when you have good sleep then you feel like you can conquer the world and all its problems.

Really try to get to bed at the same time each night because oversleeping the next day can be very stressful .

Develop a habit of writing down & reading your action steps...

.... to reach your goals at least once a day.

This will help you to move in the direction of your goals so that you can achieve a balanced and healthy life.
